The process is a bit complicated yes but here it is in a nut shell followed by a handful of pictures so you can see what actually goes on behind the scenes.
First, we pump the Cherry Juice Concentrate into a hopper which will dispense a precise amount into a pint or quart sized, BPA free, high density fruit juice concentrate bottle. The bottle is then sent to the capping machine, then on to the label applicator. After all this, the bottle gets a safety seal shrink band and is sent through the shrink tunnel before it’s safely sealed in our double walled corrugated boxes.
Here are a few pictures taken during the process last Tuesday.
Our Tart Cherry, Wonderful Pomegranate, Wild Blueberry, Red Raspberry, Concord Grape and Cranberry Juice Concentrates are stored in our warehouse refrigerators at 34 degrees, then pumped into a 30 gallon hopper before the filling process begins.
This is what it looks like when the Cherry quart bottles are being filled;
These Cherry Juice Concentrate Quarts then take a ride to the ‘Capper’ machine, where they are sealed just moments after being ‘cold filled’;
The next step is the label application. Here, the labels are applied automatically while the bottle rotates for an even, sleek application;
Finally, before being packed and refrigerated in our double walled corrugated boxes, the bottle has a shrink wrap safety seal applied. Then it takes a quick ride through the ‘heat shrink tunnel’, and comes out all happy looking for a new home;
There you go folks, a nice visual for all who wondered and asked over the years of just how this fruit juice concentrate bottling process took place.
